About HPY

The Reason Our Youth Ministry Exists
As HighPointYouth students and leaders, we strive to
SURRENDER our lives to God,
CONNECT with one other,
GROW in our relationships with God,
GIVE of ourselves to serve others, and
SHARE our faith with those around us.
SURRENDER --> Worship
- Celebrating Gods Presence.
CONNECT --> Fellowship
- Creating and maintaining authentic relationships with other followers of Jesus.
GROW --> Discipleship
- Growing spiritually on their own: Learning more about Gods character, the world, and ones self while personalizing faith.
GIVE --> Ministry
- Meeting needs with love, serving others with our God-given SHAPE (spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, experience).
SHARE --> Evangelism
- Loving others and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with them.
HighPointYouth! is Purpose-Driven
What Students Need From Caring Adults
Affecting the youth world happens one student at a time. Students do not connect to programs or events...they connect to people. The most effective way to influence students is through significant relationships with key people in their lives. Our goal is to develop leaders who minister to students. By doing this, we come alongside parents in modeling Jesus to students and modeling a faith-life.

About the Youth Pastor

Mike Horton has been serving as youth pastor along with his wife at HighPoint Fellowship since 1999.
He and his amazing wife Jeanne-Mari have a jaw-droppingly beautiful 6-year-old daughter named Melissa. They enjoy riding bikes, reading, playing in the street, and eating Frosty's at Wendy's.
They also thank God everyday for the blessing of family.
You can contact Mike at (512)731-0064 or mike@hpf.org.

Romans 11:34-12:2 [msg]
Is there anyone around who can explain God?
Anyone smart enough to tell him what to do?
Anyone who has done him such a huge favor that God has to ask his advice?
Everything comes from him;
Everything happens through him;
Everything ends up in him.
Always glory! Always praise!
So here's what I want you to do, God helping you:
Take your everyday, ordinary life--
your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life--
and place it before God as an offering.
Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.
Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God.
You'll be changed from the inside out.
Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it.
Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you,
develops well-formed maturity in you.
